Get Involved...

There are many ways in which you can get involved with Preston Art and Design either as a contributing artist to our shop or exhibition space or maybe to have a say about what we programme in the gallery. If you have time to spare and want valuable experience of working in a commercial gallery setting then don’t hesitate and check out our volunteer information. If none of these take your fancy then just pay us a visit and see what’s new in the space!

Apply to sell your work in the PAD shop: we take work from local designer/makers on sale or return and take 30% on all sales. An opportunity to showcase your work and we can also assist with pricing your product and developing new product ideas.

Apply to hold an exhibition in the PAD gallery: our programme is a varied mix of contemporary visual arts and design work with a range of solo exhibitions, installations and group shows.

Apply to be a volunteer: our volunteer programme is for anyone who wants to build up their experience in retail, curatorial practice or gallery management. We are looking for flexible, hard working people with a passion for arts and design who are willing to give up some of their time to help us make the PAD shop and gallery a success.

Apply to be a member of the PAD gallery steering group: our Steering Group is a panel of volunteer artists who have a key role in planning our gallery programme. Steering Group membership is detailed in the ‘About’ section.

Steering Committee
The Gallery programme is selected by the PAD Steering Committee made up of a team of volunteers.  Preston Art and Design offer this as valuable experience for anyone wanting to be involved with promoting art and culture in Preston and engaging with the local community. This opportunity gives significant experience for anyone wanting to expand their CV and also gives them the opportunity to speak in PAD’s creative forum.
