Pat Moss's work explores the complex genre of portraiture looking to capture the emotional response that depression and self-loathing can have on an individual. Whilst treating the subject with great tenderness this intimate body of work involves the audience in the photographer-sitter relationship.

With some ambiguity in the images, Pat is allowing the viewer to interpret the work within their own sphere of experience. This contemporary photographic practice lies firmly within the art world far removed from commercial and advertising photography.
