Hazel Batten

Hazel Bee is an extraordinary talent who has emerged from UCLAN last year with a BA (Hons) in Illustration. Her drawing qualities are just the foundations of her illustrations. She makes her drawings bold and quirky to attract attention, the humour comes afterwards through the words. She can see this like a series of realisation in people's faces as they see one her pictures for the first time. Hazel's humour is dry, as she likes to mimic real human reactions creating human realism throughout the words, and matching this up with extremely unrealistic or inappropriate characters.
